Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Sax Playing Dog (“SPD”, “we”, “us”) runs a pre-launch site where you can join the waitlist for our limited-run corduroy cap. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you do, why, and the rights you have over it.

1. Who we are (data controller)

The controller responsible for your personal data is Sax Playing Dog. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@saxplayingdog.com.

2. What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. We do not collect payment information — the site does not sell anything yet.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 7); it will not affect processing done before you did.

4. Analytics and cookies

We use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that measures aggregate traffic (page views, referrers, countries) without setting tracking cookies.

We also use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta (Instagram/Facebook) Pixel to understand where visitors come from and to measure ad performance when we run campaigns. Both set cookies, and the Meta Pixel can be used for cross-site tracking, so neither loads until you click Accept on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you click Decline, or close the banner without choosing, neither tool loads and no analytics or advertising cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings in the site footer.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers (“processors”) that make the site work, under contracts that require them to protect it:

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist details until the limited run has launched and been fulfilled, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be kept longer. If you unsubscribe or request erasure, we remove your entry promptly.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct it; have it erased; restrict or object to how we use it; receive it in a portable format; and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email hello@saxplayingdog.com and we will respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe we have handled your data improperly.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes affecting waitlist subscribers will be notified by email where appropriate.
